The Dominican Republic has 6 different regions. Every region has its own characteristics and nature. In this part of our website we try to give you a better view from these regions.
The East Coast:
- with hotspots like Punta Cana, Cap Cana, Bavaro, Cortecito, Uvero Alto, Macao, Miches, Bayahibe, La Romana with Casa de Campo. Full of all inclusive hotel chains and white sandy beaches.
The North Coast:
- with hotspots like Luperon, Cofresi, Costambar, Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete, Gaspar Hernandez, Cabrera and Nagua. A combination of beaches and mountains.
The Nort East Coast:
- with hotspots like Samana, Las Terrenas, Sanchez, Las Galeras and El Limon. The Samana peninsula is the tourist destination for nature lovers. More than 30 km of beaches, mountains, cliffs and waterfalls. Several large national parks.
The South West Coast:
- With hotspots like Azua, Barahona, Pedernales and San Cristobal. One of the driest and hottest regions in the DR, with salt lakes, mountains and dessert.
The South Coast:
- with hotspots like Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, Juan Dolio.
The Central Part:
- with hotspots like La Vega, Santiago and Jarabacoa. High mountain tops and waterfalls make this part very spectacular for active nature lovers.
