EL LIMON WATERFALL
15 kilometers away from Las Terrenas, in the Portillo road, we find the small village of El Limón. The ride walk to the waterfall is one of the activities that one can not miss. The horses are very calm, so there is no danger for the non experienced riders. The landscape, the tropical forest, the rivers ; all the scene is worth to look up. The cherry continues being the Arroyo Chico waterfall with more than 40 meters.
WATCHING THE WALES
The hunchback whales in the Samana bay…
They sing and have a playful nature… Their size and weight – up to 15 meters and 40 tons- do not stop them at all to offer a fascinating performance from end of January to beginning of March. In the bay, without having in mind the numerous boats in front of them, they jump and Twirl, offering an spectacular show. Almost one thousand whales arrive to mate, give birth and dive in these warming waters before going back to the north hemisphere seas.
 CAYO LEVANTADO
Cayo Levantado is a rocky island facing Samana, bordered by a white and fine sand beach. The waters are turquoise, and it is a small paradise to relax and have breakfast in the middle of the birds and parrots : pay attention, it is best to avoid the Sunday picnics, specially during the high season!
